Meetings


1. In an important meeting held on october 4th at IIT-M, a joint development agreement was signed by Mr. K.K. Acharya MD, Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd and Prof. M.S.Ananth, Director IIT, Madras for the following two projects.

1.Development of a catalyst and process for the reduction of end point of Diesel.

2.Development of a regenerable adsorbents for sulphur removal from Diesel fractions.

These two projects will be executed jointly by R&D centre of CPCL and NCCR.

2. The third meeting of the coordinators of the centre will be held on 10th April 2007 at 3 pm in the M V C Sastri hall.
3. A meeting with BASF for signing the Secrecy Agreement and discussion will be held on 30th April 2007 at 9.30 a.m.
4. A meeting with Shell Company will be held on 16th May for signing a MOU for a research associateship to work in an area related to the Shells interest. The meeting was attended by Dr George, Dr Usha Soni and Dr Laxmi Narasimhan on behalf of shell india and on behalf of NCCR all the members were present. The signing of the agreement was done on the after noon of 16th May 2007.
4. A project review meeting of the projects done by NCCR for CPCL will be held on 15th June 2007 at 2.00 p m in the corporate office of CPCL. The meeting will be chaired by CMD of CPCL and the Director (Technical) DT and GM (R and D) will be present in addition to all the members of R and D group of CPCL.
